You work in our own crews and under our works contracts — employed directly by Viamalabau.
Wages on time, clear hours
Wages arrive on the agreed day. Overtime is recorded and compensated.
Established crews
You join a crew that knows each other. New people are shown the ropes, not thrown in.
Tools and equipment provided
We supply personal protective equipment and tools. You bring the hands.
Multilingual site
German, Italian, English, Albanian and Turkish are spoken on the team. Language is not a barrier.
Room to move up
Take responsibility and you become a foreman. We support courses and further training.
The yard is in Thusis. For assignments outside Graubünden we organise travel and accommodation.

You lay and tie reinforcing steel to the execution drawings — on foundations, floor slabs, walls, ceilings and columns. The core of our business.
What you will do
- Lay and tie reinforcing steel according to execution plans
- Reinforce foundations, floor slabs, walls, ceilings and columns
- Cut and adjust reinforcement bars on site
- Work from structural calculations and technical drawings
- Support formwork and concreting works
What you bring
- Experience in rebar work, or the willingness to learn it with us
- Able to read plans, or willing to learn
- Turning up reliably and working cleanly
- Enough German to communicate on site
- Category B driving licence an advantage
Masonry, conversions and renovations on new and older buildings — from the wall itself to the detail that has to be solved cleanly.
What you will do
- Masonry, concrete work and conversions
- Renovation and refurbishment of flats, houses and buildings
- Repair and touch-up work
- Working alongside site management and other trades
What you bring
- Completed apprenticeship as a mason or equivalent practice
- Able to work independently to plan
- Care for details and finished surfaces
- Category B driving licence an advantage
Natural stone, cast stone and ceramics on floors and walls, plus terraces, staircases and forecourts. Work that stays visible afterwards.
What you will do
- Lay natural stone, cast stone and ceramic tiles
- Build terraces, staircases, paths and forecourts
- Silicone joints, waterproofing and detail work
- Prepare and level substrates
What you bring
- Experience with tiling or natural stone
- An eye for straight lines and clean joints
- A careful, patient way of working
You lead a crew on site, coordinate with site management and carry the responsibility for schedule and quality.
What you will do
- Lead a crew of 3 to 10 people
- Daily planning, material scheduling and quality control
- Point of contact on site for site management and client
- Keep to deadlines, quality standards and occupational safety
What you bring
- Several years in building or civil engineering
- Experience leading crews
- Good written and spoken German
- Category B driving licence
The way into the trade. You support the crews on site and learn the work from the ground up.
What you will do
- Support the skilled workers on site
- Move, prepare and stage materials
- Keep the site clean and assist with strip-out work
- Simple assistance in rebar, masonry and stone work

- Physically fit and happy working outdoors
- Punctual and reliable
- Willing to learn the trade from the ground up
